Fabio Igel
Fabio Igel co-founded monashees together with Eric Acher in 2005 and was the firm's first major investor, supporting founders in their journey to develop companies into market-defining leaders for over a decade.
Fabio has always believed that people come first, and when doing business his focus is on building long term authentic relationships. He has played a key role in defining monashees' DNA and co-developing its long-term strategy.
As of 2020, Fabio has stepped down from his full time partner position at the firm to dedicate time to his family business, and now serves as an advisor to monashees.
He graduated from Hosta University in Leysin, Switzerland, and has been an advisor and board member to Grupo Ultra since 1988. Prior to co-founding monashees, Fabio was an angel investor and a professional skier, representing Brazil at the 1992 Winter Olympics.
