The name Ualá comes from blending the words “wallet” and “voilà” (from the French: “there it is”). The company has created a mobile app that issues a prepaid Mastercard credit card with no fees. Clients can use the card to make payments, transfers and two monthly withdrawals. Users can check payments made through the app, while customer service takes place via Facebook chat. Loans and investment products will soon be launched.
